Well Well Well... a new month is undoubtedly upon us. This is June! Woah!! The year is about to be divided into two, and just a few days to go. As a member of the innovative team, I contribute my qouta by promotion of positive policies that facillitate the health of the organization and growth in positive direction.

Specialisation and Research Focus?:

My research interest is in the reduction of food wastage, food upcycling and food fortification. I want to explore ways to ensure people`s health is benefitted by the consumption of food.

Research Drive and Stance?:

The amount of micronutrient deficiencies in children under the age of 5 in Nigeria is alarming. Vitamin A deficiency alone is about 30-70% in children according to WHO statistics. This calls for urgent solutions by looking within our food systems. I want to proffer a solution to this situation by conducting research on food fortification and producing complementary foods for children under the age of 5.

Number of Research done with FATPARG?:

2 (One published the other in peer review).

How do you handle a bad day in the Laboratory?:

Well, music, music, and music. You can never go wrong with music. Likewise, I keep my cool and speak with colleagues. With good gist, as much laugh as I can get and everything will be fine.

Short Narration of the funniest or happy research experience?:

That will definitely be the day Goshen informed me about the publication of our first article at Food Science and Technology department. The joy was like the first time I earned in dollars. LOL! I was so happy the hard work paid off.

Counsel to other researchers?:

Perseverance! It is not always easy with so many uncertainties, deadlines and challenges to tackle but if you don`t give up, you surely will achieve your goals. There will always be something to research, just take your time and find solutions to problems. More importantly, always take care of your mental health; not just when things seem not to be the way you want. We have a bright future ahead of us!

What do you love the most about FATPARG?:

I love the people! What an amazing set of persons! People so commited and dedicated to the course of the organization. I tell you, it`s rare to meet such amazing set of people.
